手ぬぐい「良き事聞く」 江戸小紋・判じ物
江戸時代の歌舞伎役者・三代目尾上菊五郎が考案した文様。六代目のときに「羽根のかむろ」の衣裳に使い、人気が出ました。
「斧（小型のおの）」「琴柱」「菊」で「良き事聞く」と読ませる判じ絵。「良い知らせがある」という縁起の良い意味が込められています。歌舞伎ファンの方や手ぬぐいに込められた縁起の良い意味と共に大切な方へのプレゼントにもおすすめです。

Tenugui “Yoki Koto Kiku”
Edo Komon is a fine pattern for Kimono created in the Edo period. The pattern, “Yoki Koto Kiku”, created and used for the costume by the Kabuki actor, Onoe Kikugoro III became popular in the Edo period. This is a striped pattern consisting of a drawing of a halberd (Yoki), the character for the Japanese harp (Koto) and a drawing of chrysanthemum (Kiku). It is an auspicious play on words, since, when Yoki Koto Kiku is spoken, it means ‘to hear something good.’
