手ぬぐい「隅田川水神の森真崎」 名所江戸百景
歌川広重の代表的なシリーズ「名所江戸百景」の浮世絵を手ぬぐいに再現しました。
隅田川の東岸・隅田川神社の水神の森から対岸の真崎を望みます。手前に八重桜、奥には実際には見えない筑波山の姿を配して遠近感が強調されています。隅田川の周辺は、当時、風光明媚な地として名を馳せていました。
広重の浮世絵手ぬぐいは海外の方にも人気が高く、外国へのお土産に喜ばれます。額やフレームに入れてインテリアとして飾るのも素敵です。

Tenugui “Ukiyoe “100 Famous Views of Edo – Sumidagawa Suijin no Mori Massaki””
Ukiyoe from Utagawa Hiroshige’s representative series “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo” is reproduced on tenugui.
A view of Masaki on the other side of the river from the Suijin no Mori forest of Sumida River Shrine on the east bank of the Sumida River. The perspective is accentuated by the cherry blossoms in the foreground and the invisible Mount Tsukuba in the background. In those days, the area around the Sumida River was famous for its scenic beauty.
Hiroshige’s ukiyoe tenugui are also popular among people overseas, and are appreciated as souvenirs to foreign countries. It is also wonderful to put it in a frame or tapestry and display it as an interior decoration.
