手ぬぐい「花見の景」 原画：雁千穂
桜の名所・上野寛永寺での花見の様子を賑やかに描いた手ぬぐいです。江戸時代前期に作られた浮世絵をモチーフにしています。
上野寛永寺は徳川家の菩提寺として栄え、全盛期は上野公園全域を境内としていました。暮六ツ（午後６時頃）までしか入れず、三味線なども禁止されていたため、品の良い花見場所として知られました。手ぬぐいからは当時の人々も、開花に心躍り、桜を楽しむ様子がうかがえます。
江戸情緒溢れるお花見の手ぬぐいは、日本から海外へのお土産にも喜ばれます。

Tenugui “Cherry Blossom Viewing”
This tenugui depicts a scene of cherry blossom viewing at Kan-eiji Temple in Ueno, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. The motif is based on ukiyoe prints made in the early Edo period.
Ueno Kan-eiji Temple flourished as the family temple of the Tokugawa family, and in its heyday, the precincts of the temple covered the entire Ueno Park.
The Edo-style hanami tenugui will be appreciated as a souvenir from Japan to overseas
