Art Tenugui "Narrow Road to the Deep North"

Haiku is the Japanese original style of poetry, expressing a single moment with only 17 syllables.
The motif is based on the artwork “Picture Scroll of Oku no Hosomichi” by Yosa Buson, the famous Haiku poet and painter of the Edo period, with the two Haiku poems from “Oku no Hosomichi (The Narrow Road to the Deep North)” a travel diary by Matsuo Basho, the well known Haiku poet Yosa Buson admired.
This Tenugui can be folded to form a Japanese style book.
